Student Travel Information for Commuters

• This program is available to eligible students enrolled from Primary through Post-Secondary institutions.

Registration and Administration:

• The registration and administration of student travel cards are managed directly by the respective educational institutions.

Usage Guidelines:

• Students are required to present their valid student travel card each time they board an SPTC bus for school-related travel. The student card entitles the holder to a reduced fare of Rs2 during designated travel periods.

Important Notices:

• Students who fail to comply with the travel card conditions will be required to pay the standard fare. A replacement fee of Rs25 applies for lost or damaged student cards.

• Students are advised to carry their student travel card at all times to ensure eligibility for the discounted fare.

Corporate Card Information for Commuters

The Corporate Card is tailored for private businesses, Ministries, and Parastatal organizations.

Key Features:

• The card is managed and administered by the employer for its staff.
• Standard fares apply when using the Corporate Card.
• Bulk registration options are available for staff members.
• The card is transferable between employees within the organization.

Additional Benefits:

• SPTC provides a credit facility for businesses utilizing the Corporate Card.
• Scheduled card reloading services are offered directly at the workplace for added convenience.

Fees:

• Registration fee: Rs10 per card
• Customization fee (card design): Rs25 per card
• Replacement fee for lost or damaged cards: Rs50

Parents & Workers Special Card

• Eligibility: Parents and workers making multiple trips daily.
• Regulation: Managed by the Agency for Social Protection.
• Non-transferable: Card is only for the registered user.
• Fare Deduction: Rs10 deducted upon boarding the first bus.
• Transfer Ticket: A correspondent/transfer ticket is issued for the second trip, which must be taken within 2 hours to qualify.

Pensioner’s Card

Eligibility: Pensioners only.

• Regulation: Managed by the Agency for Social Protection.
• Non-transferable: Card must be carried by the bearer at all times when boarding.
• Benefit: Unlimited travel for the cardholder.

Disabled Person’s Card

• Eligibility: Persons with disabilities only.
• Regulation: Managed by the National Council for Disabled and the Agency for Social Protection.
• Non-transferable: Card must be carried by the bearer at all times when boarding.
• Benefit: Unlimited daily trips for the cardholder.

Visitors Travel Card Pricing

• SCR 100 (€5): 1-day unlimited travel
• SCR 198 (€12): 4 days unlimited travel
• SCR 363 (€22): 8 days unlimited travel

• The Visitors Travel Card grants unlimited travel on normal bus services between 05:30 and 19:00 during the card’s validity period.

How and Where to Purchase a Visitors Travel Card

• Online Purchase: Buy your Visitors Travel Card when entering Seychelles via the Seychelles Electronic Border Control System.
• Collection Point: Collect your card at Travel Plus, located in the outside hall of Seychelles International Airport.
• Hotel Delivery: For delivery to hotels on Mahé and Praslin, email visitorscard@sptc.sc with your details. Direct purchases can also be made this way.
• SPTC Sales Offices: Cards are available at all SPTC Sales Offices on Mahé and Praslin.
• Postal Service: Purchase cards at any Seychelles Postal Services branch on Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue.
• Inter-Island Jetty: Visitors transiting via the Inter-Island Jetty on Mahé can buy cards at the ‘Naturelle Shop’ in the arrival/departure hall.
